Jarek and Anne's music evolves from the breath, with moments of silence punctuating the intertwining melodic threads. These spontaneous improvisations draw the listener into a spacious, soothing soundscape.
Jarek Czechowicz
Jarek first explored the guitar in his early teens followed by a study of electronic music with prolific Australian composer Felix Werder. In 1979 Jarek undertook private tuition on a scholarship with Witold Rudzinski, Senior Professor of composition at the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. During the late 80's he formed the guitar duo The Name and also worked in the Theatre in Poland. Jarek is currently Artistic Director of DEJA an ensemble specialising in improvisation. DEJA has released a CD titled 'Once'. Jarek's guitar is handcrafted by Carson-Crickmore.
