Oct 17 1996,  “Song of the Wailing Flute”  Music to accompany the poetry of Gina Louis, Melbourne Writers Festival, St John’s, Southgate. Anne performed shakuhachi with Greg Dikmans (Baroque flute and recorder); Satsuki Odamura (koto), Yumi Umiumare (speech and movement); Javant Biarujia (visuals).

Nov 1996,  “Drums of Japan” Shakuhachi and shinobue flute with visiting taiko drummers from Kumamoto,  RindoDaiko, St John’s, Southgate.

Nov 1996,  “The Art of Zen.” Opening night of the Arthouse Exhibition at The Castlemaine Arts Festival. Roaming concert with Anne leading the audience from artwork to artwork where she “played” a selection of artworks as her shakuhachi score while the people stood or sat on the floor and contemplated the paintings by artist Jan Lancaster.

Dec 1996,  “Lies of Love”  Anne recorded and arranged music for koto and shakuhachi on Monique Lisbon’s album Lies of Love. Recorded at MOVE Records.
